The South West Slammers women’s team have ended one of the longest active winless streaks, after pipping the East Perth Eagles 84-82 at the Herb Graham Recreation Centre on Saturday night.

Trailing by as much as 15 points, the visitors displayed tremendous heart to charge home, with American import Tylinn Carter (19 points, 13 rebounds, four assists) icing the victory at the free-throw line.

Prior to Saturday night, the Slammers had not won a women’s game in either the SBL/NBL1 West since June 22, 2019.

Check out Tuesday’s Bunbury Herald for a full recap of this memorable moment for Slammernation.
