The Northern Territory Chief Minister has announced he is going to be a father for the second time.

Michael Gunner took to social media on Tuesday with the news, posting a cute video of his son Hudson holding a sonogram of the new baby and shaking the photo with excitement.

The 20-month-old is later seen biting the image.

“Hudson took the news that he will soon be a big brother really well,” Mr Gunner’s post read.

Hudson is no stranger to social media, as he has his own personal Instagram page @rovingbabychief with about 470 followers.

He only follows mum Kristy O’Brien and dad.

Mr Gunner married the ABC journalist and producer in 2017 after a 6½ year engagement.

The couple then had their first child, whose nickname is Huddy, in April last year.

Earlier this year, Mr Gunner announced he and his family were forced to flee their home one weekend in October after receiving threats from anti-vaccination protesters.

“Obviously, people knew where we lived, ” Mr Gunner told Sky News Australia.

“My clear instinct was obviously ‘don’t be at the house’, the advice we received was ‘don’t be at the house’ and so Kristy and Hudson got out of the house.”

He also broke down at a press conference in early December after he again spoke out about being subjected to death threats.

Mr Gunner was visibly upset and told reporters that one of the vile comments was “my kid would be put in a grave”.
