Trapeze artist Theaker von Ziarno is once again appearing at the Northampton Show on Saturday.

Northampton District Agricultural Society secretary Di Hume described von Ziarno’s show as “spectacular” and said she would conduct a workshop in circus skills on the day.

The motocross group, Freestyle Motox Action, will also make an appearance.

Billing themselves as “some of Australia’s best Freestyle Moto X Riders”, they promise to “risk life and limb” putting their machines through “mind-blowing aerial stunts”.

Mrs Hume said the magician Pop Magic would also appear at the show for the first time.

“We will have all the normal things like Old McDonald’s Farm, the fashion parade, billycart race, pony rides, sustainable scarecrow competition, junk-art competition, Greenough Wildlife Park and artist-gymnast Phil Doncan,” she said. Regular cups and trophies include sheep, wool, grain and fodder, poultry, vegetables, fruit, home produce, home brew, cooking, flowers, fancy work, art, photography, crafts, collection of articles and literature.

This will be Northampton’s 102nd annual show.

The Northampton Showground exhibition hall opens at 9am.
