Students green up coastline
Up to 1200 trees will be planted along the coast by students this month, as part of a City of Greater Geraldton plan to plant one million trees.
Since 2010, 454,000 native trees and shrubs have been planted.
On Thursday, St Lawrence Primary School students, including Lucas Clarkson and Deakin Gould of Year 6, planted about 150 trees at St Georges Beach in Bluff Point.
Teacher Anita Krippner said the excursion was part of a classroom focus on sustainability and social justice.
