Camera IconLovers of good food and fresh produce travelled from far and wide to attend one of the most popular events on the Gascoyne Food Festival program on Friday.Held under the stars at Bentwaters Plantation on the banks of the Gascoyne River, the long-table dinner event was catered by an all-female line-up of some of Australia’s top chefs. The team was headed by Sophie Budd, who counts actors Kate Winslet and Rowan Atkinson, Queen drummer Roger Taylor, WA mining magnates the Forrest family and Queen Elizabeth II among those she has cooked for.The dinner was one of many events scheduled across the Gascoyne during the six-week festival, which aims to introduce attendees to the delicious produce grown in the region.The next event will be a Red Bluff beach feast of Shark Bay seafood and WA beef curries on Saturday.
