A local charity has been given a donation that will go a long way to help them operate, thanks to an anonymous company. Midwest Disaster Relief received a forklift platform for free from a generous donor. The flat platform and strong steel build will make it much easier to carry furniture around their facility, according to the organisation. Midwest Disaster Relief Manager Chris Sonohan could barely hide his excitement as he explained how significant this donation was. “It’s just been so hard for us, we really struggle, when we try to push heavy furniture and unload trucks with the regular forks,” he said. “It’s just going to make life so much easier, it’s not even funny.” “All our Christmases have come at once.” The stand contains $750 of steel and took a day to complete. The company who made the donation wish to stay anonymous.
