Rising interest rates and the global economic market from an agricultural point of view were the topics of discussion at a recent “knowledge-sharing event” hosted by Rabobank’s Geraldton branch in Nabawa.

The event came equipped with the bank’s “RaboTruck” which was parked at the Nabawa Valley Tavern.

Clients and guests gathered in chilly conditions to hear from Rabobank’s Sydney-based senior market strategist Ben Picton.

“Ben is part of the bank’s research team — with over 80 food and agribusiness research analysts — based here and around the world,” Rabobank head of relationship management Ryan Hetherington said.

“The research team generate knowledge and develop views and insights on businesses, topics and developments in the food and agribusiness sectors across the globe.”

Mr Hetherington said the Nabawa event was a “wonderful opportunity to share some of this knowledge with our clients and guests.”
