Teenagers as young as 15 are behind a home invasion in Rangeway, police say, which saw the culprits threaten a resident with an axe and steal a house safe. Geraldton Detectives are investigating the armed robbery on Kenny Crescent on Saturday, May 14 around 10.15pm and have issued a plea to help find the offenders. Police allege three suspects broke into a house armed with an axe, and threatened the occupant while inside, demanding his mobile phone, safe, wallet and other property. Geraldton Detectives OIC, Det-Sen. Sgt Bruce McDonald, said once the three suspects obtained the items from the occupant, they left the property and headed towards Blencowe Road in Rangeway. The occupant was not harmed during the incident. The three culprits are described as male, aged between 15 and 19. One suspect was described as wearing a red jumper and dark pants, while the other two suspects wore dark coloured clothing. Police are calling for any witnesses who may have seen or heard the suspects carrying a small safe or axe in the Rangeway area, or have any CCTV captured on Kenny Crescent, Blencowe Road and Hibiscus Street on Saturday, May 14 to contact police.
