A 33-year-old Perth man has been charged after police allegedly found methamphetamine, “magic mushrooms”, and a large quantity of cannabis during a traffic stop in Dongara.

Dongara police will allege they found 370 grams of cannabis, 55 grams of the mushrooms and three grams of methamphetamine when they stopped the man for a random breath test on Brand Highway, about 1.25pm on Wednesday.

He was charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia.

He will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on September 28.

Senior Constable Adam Wright said Dongara police had been carrying out licence checks and random breath tests as part of a crackdown on drug activity.

“We are happy to have interrupted the supply of drugs and taken some potentially damaging stuff off the streets,” he said.
