Dead humpback whale washes ashore near Greenough

A dead humpback whale has washed up near Greenough.

Officers from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development are monitoring the situation and have issued a shark advice.

The carcass, about 3.2 metres long, was reported this morning about two kilometres south east of Flat Rocks Beach.

Authorities say the carcass may attract sharks and people should exercise caution.
