Schools and community groups in Geraldton are encouraged to take advantage of a fundraising opportunity by becoming drop-off points for the State Government’s container deposit scheme.

Local MLCs Darren West and Laurie Graham welcomed the announcement that the “Containers for Change” scheme will start next year.

From June 2, 2020, West Australians will be able to return and recycle their eligible containers for a 10¢ refund at any Containers for Change refund point.

Containers for Change, run by not-for-profit WA Return Recycle Renew Limited, will be the Government-appointed agency.
