Police are hunting four burglars who broke into Silver Chain Carnarvon on Saturday morning and stole a company car.

Senior Sergeant Jayd Morawski said the group forced entry to the Olivia Terrace property about 5am.

He said once inside they stole “consumer electronics” and a set of car keys, which they used to make off with a Hyundai i30 Hatchback parked at the property.

The vehicle was later found abandoned at the Wooramel Roadhouse, 120km south of Carnarvon.

“There is CCTV evidence, both from the premises and from the shire of Carnarvon that we have reviewed,” Sen. Sgt Morawski said.

“We are seeking further footage in the area, and we’ve made further enquiries and forensic examinations.

“While there’s not enough to arrest anyone at this time, we’re building evidence against the suspects.

“We are confident we’re closing in on the offenders.”

Sen. Sgt Morawski said the building was unoccupied when the burglars struck.

Anyone with information or CCTV footage that could help identify the suspects should call Carnarvon Police on 9941 7333 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
