The retrial for the man accused of murdering teenager Hayley Dodd has been confirmed to span more than two months from February next year. Supreme Court Justice Michael Corboy today locked in new trial dates following the quashing of Francis John Wark’s 2018 murder conviction by the WA Court of Appeal earlier this year. Mr Wark is accused of taking 17-year-old Hayley from the side of a remote road near his Badgingarra property in 1999, murdering her and disposing of her body, which has never been found. He initially stood trial before a judge-alone but a jury is due to decide his guilt or innocence when he faces trial again from February 8. The trial is expected to finish on April 14. Mr Wark, who appeared in court by video-link from Hakea prison, was remanded in custody until a status conference on October 15.
