ADCA 2025-26: Royals power to T20 title win after strong fightback with ball to deny Manypeaks in grand final

An impressive Royals outfit won the Albany and Districts Cricket Association A-grade Twenty20 final with an 11-run victory over Manypeaks on Thursday night. The Lions defended their tally of 7-155 as the Peaks chase petered out just as it looked as though a thrilling finish was on the cards. Ryley Valli was the star of the show, his 78 off 58 balls providing the backbone of the Lions’ innings. However, Kane Pinney ran him close as he led the Peaks chase, walloping 65 off 50 balls including an impressive six which cleared the fence on to North Road and had to be fielded from the far side of the dual carriageway. Unfortunately, his demise signalled the end of the Peaks’ threat as the batters who followed did not possess his firepower and were left scuttling for singles as the overs ran out to finish 8-144 in reply. The victory confirmed a T20 double for Royals as their B-graders took the short-format title with a win over Collingwood Park earlier this month. Oliver Douglas was best with the ball for Peaks, taking 3-31 including Ryley Valli who was caught holing out by Seb Stanton. Matt France and Caleb Haua each took two scalps for the winners with France dispatching Pinney with a ball that clattered his stumps in the 19th over. Leighton Smith added a valuable 25 not out and France chipped in with 17 as the Lions, without co-captain and top order star Mitch Green, still managed to surpass 150.
