During the match, the WACA Ground is also set to unveil new state of the art LED light tower as the Scorchers get the chance to salute in front of home fans for the first time since November’s decider at Perth Stadium.

The Scorchers will remain at the WACA for their inaugural Pride match against the Sydney Thunder on Saturday (October 22) and a retro round themed contest against the Hobart Hurricanes on Sunday (October 23).

After two matches in Queensland, Perth then return to Lilac Hill for three straight games in early November, including an annual Indigenous match against the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday, November 6.

“Hosting six home games in Perth is big for the squad, both in terms of knowing local conditions, and having the opportunity to play in front of our members, fans, family and friends,” Scorchers coach Shelley Nitschke said.

“Playing three of those games at Lilac Hill is also handy. We love playing there, and it’ll be great to experience the festivities of that weekend again. “Overall, it’s an exciting base to build from. We can’t wait for the season to roll around again, so we can get to work and make Perth proud.”

On the road, the Scorchers have stints in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne before rounding out their home-and-away campaign in the regional Victorian town of Moe.

The WBBL|08 Finals series will take place following the conclusion of the regular season on November 20.
