There were dramatic scenes at the Collie Speedway last night where two drivers collided at high speed.

Collie local Allan Chapman drove over fellow driver Jason Craig’s wheel, leading both cars to spin out of control.

The cars travel at breakneck speeds - up to 120km an hour. It takes a driver around 17 seconds to circle the 500 metre track.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the crash, as the drivers were protected by head braces, five-point harnesses, and chair-cages.
