Frenzied Fremantle fans have packed out Dockers HQ to cheer on their heroes, with the Purple Army thrilled to get a glimpse of their side’s final training session in Perth before Saturday’s grand final.

The club’s main session at Cockburn ARC on Wednesday morning was a ticketed event, with all 3000 available places quickly snapped up by eager Dockers fans.

And they all cheered loudly and proudly in their last chance to see their team before they head to the MCG to take on Brisbane in their second-ever appearance in a season decider.

Plenty of one-time Dockers came down to get a look at the session, including a member of their side from their most recent appearance in the grand final in Lee Spurr, who lined up against Hawthorn in 2013.

Kepler Bradley, Nathan Wilson, Brandon Matera, Jesse Crichton, Ash Prescott and Daniel Bandy were also among the former Fremantle players in the crowd.

Some fans even climbed on top of their vehicles atop the hill looking over the ground to get a long-range glimpse of training.

Supporters were more than happy to make themselves heard during the near hour-and-a-half long session, with particularly loud cheers reserved for their captain Alex Pearce and popular forward Pat Voss when they rotated out of drills.

After the session, Fremantle’s stars made their way around the boundary to pose for selfies and sign autographs, much to the delight of the crowd.

And the day’s loudest roar was reserved for when the on-site DJ spun AC/DC’s Hells Bells, the signature sound of the club’s crowd activation-turned phenomenon ‘Wharfie Time’.
