Shane Warne dies: Warnie revealed he was on health kick to his Instagram fans days before his death

Shane Warne had started a health kick just days before he was found dead in a Thai villa.

Just days before he was found dead in Koh Samui from a suspected heart attack, the legendary Australian spin bowler had taken to Instagram to tell fans about his plan to hit the gym.

Warne shared a throwback picture of himself looking ripped and said he had spent the past 10 days trying to lose weight.

“Operation shred has started (10 days in) & the goal by July is to get back to this shape from a few years ago ! Let’s go,” he wrote to his 1.3 million Instagram fans, alongside the hashtags #fitness #healthy and #feelgood.

“Wait…where’s the shirtless now pic?” joked surfer Kelly Slater.

“Easy for you mate,” Middleton wrote.

Despite copping a backlash from fans in the past for his shirtless gym selfies and dedication to his appearance, he seemed unfazed.

In an Australian Men’s Health interview last year, Warne told how he was unapologetic for taking pride in the way he looked.

“Yes, I go to the dentist regularly and get my teeth whitened. Yes, I didn’t like going bald. Some people don’t mind it. Some people don’t care.

“Some people worry about it but don’t do anything about it... But I couldn’t rock a bald head like Bruce Willis,” he told the publication.

“Now, people can take the mickey out of me. They can do whatever they like. They can call me vain because it doesn’t worry me in the slightest. Because in my mind it’s always been look good, feel good.”
