Matt Canavan (Nationals) - Returned

Anthony Chisholm (Labor) - May be returned

Pauline Hanson (One Nation) - May be returned

James McGrath (Liberal) - Returned

Amanda Stoker (Liberal) - May be returned

Murray Watt (Labor) - Returned

Possible result: LNP three seats, Labor two, with the final seat unclear.

The Greens' Penny Allman-Payne is in the running.

NSW

Four sitting senators up for re-election:

Jenny McAllister (Labor) - Returned

Jim Molan (Liberal) - Unlikely to be returned

Deb O'Neill (Labor) - Returned

Marise Payne (Liberal) - Returned

Ross Cadell (Nationals) - Elected

Possible result: Liberal two, Nationals one, Labor two, Greens' David Shoebridge or Labor's Shireen Morris taking the sixth seat.

VICTORIA

Five sitting senators up for re-election:

Sarah Handerson (Liberal) - Returned

Bridget McKenzie (Nationals) - Returned

Greg Mirabella (Liberal) - May be returned

Jana Stewart (Labor) - Returned

Lidia Thorpe (Greens) - Returned

Linda White (Labor) - Elected

Possible result: Liberal two, Nationals one, Labor two (union leader Linda White taking the second seat), Greens one.

WA

Michaelia Cash (Liberal) - Returned

Dorinda Cox (Greens) - Returned

Sue Lines (Labor) - Returned

Ben Small (Liberal) - May be returned

Dean Smith (Liberal) - Returned

Glenn Sterle (Labor) - Returned

Country Liberal Party's Jacinta Nampijinpa Price - Likely to be elected as the second senator
