A teenager is in hospital after his e-scooter collided with a ute while riding past a high school in Perth’s north.

Multiple St John Ambulance crews were deployed to the crash, which unfolded outside the Yanchep Secondary College on Ravensbourne Street about 8.50am on Wednesday.

The boy was airlifted to Perth Children’s Hospital via an RAC Rescue helicopter, arriving at 10.41am.

He is in a stable condition and being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police said that 56-year-old man, the driver of the white utility, was assisting with investigations.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and did not go to hospital.
