Motorcyclists airlifted to hospital after Ledge Point, Nanga crashes
Two RAC Rescue helicopters have been dispatched after multiple serious motorcycle crashes north of Perth today.
One of the choppers is only minutes out from landing at Ledge Point near Lancelin, where a motorcyclist in his 20s was injured in the sand dunes this afternoon.
Initial reports say he suffered several “soft tissue” injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
He will be flown to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
Almost 700km north in Nanga, a second man is waiting to be flown to hospital as well, after receiving a number of injuries including several lacerations and abrasions in another motorcycle crash.
