Desperate police search for missing 44-year-old near Kambalda in WA’s Goldfields

A desperate search is underway for a woman believed to have been involved in a car crash in WA’s remote Goldfields.

The last confirmed sighting of 44-year-old Tara Lee was on Thursday morning. In a troubling development, Police said a vehicle being driven by Ms Lee was found crashed and abandoned on a dirt track near the Goldfields town of Kambalda on Thursday afternoon.

“About 2:20pm a vehicle was located crashed and abandoned on a dirt track between Red Hill Lookout and the Kambalda stables, in Kambalda East,” a police spokesman said.

Kambalda Police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 44-year-old woman Tara LEE, who is believed to have been involved in a crash sometime today, Thursday 24 March 2022.

“It has since been established Ms Lee was in possession of the vehicle and she has not been seen or heard from since earlier this morning, which is out of character.

“Police have concerns for her safety and welfare as it is not known if she was injured in the crash.”

Anyone who sees Ms Lee is asked to call Police on 131 444.
