Elderly motorbike rider dies after crashing into a sign in Bibra Lake

An elderly man has been killed after crashing his motorbike into a traffic sign in Perth’s south.

The 76-year-old was driving his Honda north along Bibra Drive when he hit a sign on a traffic island near Walliabup Way about 2.35pm yesterday.

He had critical injuries and died at the scene.

Bibra Drive between Walliabup Way and Parkway Road was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency services cleared the crash site.
