Perth train lines: Trains cancelled on Midland line, Fremantle line experiencing delays
UPDATE: At 6pm TransPerth confirmed Midland and Fremantle lines had resumed.
“Passengers may experience minor delays as trains return to the normal timetable,” a statement read.
Trains have been cancelled on Perth’s Midland line.
TransPerth alerted the public on Monday afternoon, with trains on the Midland line between East Perth and Bassendean completely cancelled after “an incident” at Maylands Train Station.
“Please allow extra travelling time and be aware that replacement buses may not connect with timetabled services,” TransPerth said in a statement.
Commuters can expect long delays with TransPerth telling ABC Perth “the disruption is expected to flow right through the afternoon peak”.
A video, taken just after 5pm on Monday, shows commuters lined up for hundreds of metres at East Perth Train Station.
The incident is also causing delays on the Fremantle line.
