Mitchell Freeway crash blocks three lanes, traffic heavy at Narrows Bridge near Mounts Bay Road exit

A crash caused chaos on a major Perth freeway just as Monday’s afternoon traffic rush began.

The collision closed three northbound lanes on the Mitchell Freeway at Narrows Bridge about 3.15pm.

Video from the scene showed at least two vehicles stopped and debris across three lanes.

Main Roads WA told motorists to exercise extreme caution and seek an alternative route if possible.

The crash was cleared about 30 minutes later but commuters were advised traffic remained heavy on approach.
