Collie is once again pulling out all the stops to draw people to town over the Labour Day long weekend, hosting its second Labour Day Festival featuring vibrant market stalls, live music and a mountain bike showcase among a host of other events.

The event centres around Central Park with live music at the neighbouring Bendigo Bank Music Shell and markets along Forrest Street.

The festival also includes a log chopping showcase, petting zoo, bouncy castle and face painting.

It all kicks off with a car show at the Collie Recreation Ground on Saturday morning before festivities move into town.

A water skiing showcase at Lake Kepwari and Sunday’s mountain bike race and fishing competition are also highly anticipated.
