In pictures: Indian community of South West celebrated the festival of colour at Koombana Bay Foreshore

The Indian community from the South West region gathered at the as the South West Indian Group hosted Holi, festival of colours on Saturday, March 7. The annual Indian festival is celebrated to mark the arrival of spring, the end of winter and the triumph of good over evil. It was celebrated by applying skin-friendly coloured powder with one another in the spirit of love and happiness at Koombana Bay Foreshore from 9am to 11am. SWIG president Dr Parthasarathy Ramesh said the colourful event is a celebration of harmony and peace in the current global environment.
