Crowds flocked to the Harvey Recreation Grounds at the weekend for a show the Harvey Agricultural Society’s president Dominic Fazzolari has described as “enormous”.

The Harvey Show returned at the weekend for its 104th year, with the two-day event filled with fun and entertainment for everyone.

Bringing the show to life each year is the countless volunteers and committee members who Mr Fazzolari said were 100 per cent dedicated to the event.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, the committee I work with are just one in a million,” he said.

“Without them this would not go ahead.”

Mr Fazzolari said the team were “super happy” with the show’s final outcome, and said the “overwhelmingly positive” feedback from those who attended the show for the first time was a personal highlight of the 2026 show.

“We have noticed a lot of our traders haven’t been before,” he said.

“So obviously word-of-mouth has got around that we are a good show.

“It’s been awesome.”

A family friendly and locally focused event, there was something for everyone at the show from free entertainment and a free kids zone, to trade stalls, the exhibition hall and more.

Mr Fazzolari said this year’s show saw livestock numbers go through the roof, with sheep reintroduced after about a 10-year hiatus.

“That just exploded in numbers,” he said.

With bustling crowds walking through the grounds, Mr Fazzolari said he loved seeing everyone around and was thankful people had a good time.
