Big battery plans for WA’s historic energy centre

The company behind Tesla’s big battery in South Australia has revealed it is in the initial concept stages of plans to make Collie the location of an even bigger battery.

The Paris-based energy specialist NeoEn, which owns and operates the 150MW Hornsdale Power Reserve in South Australia, has identified an 80ha parcel of land that would suit a large-scale project of this kind, just 15km north-east of the South West town.
