Rockingham Flames are well on their way to the play in the men’s NBL1 West playoffs after defeating Lakeside Lightning by 36 points in their round 18 clash last Friday at Lakeside Recreation Centre.

The Flames maintained their momentum from the previous weekend’s game against the Perth Redbacks to secure their eighth consecutive win of the regular season.

Despite Lightning’s best efforts they are now knocked out of this year’s finals, ending the season in 11th place.

Lightning attempted to push back against Rockingham’s 24-6 point lead in the first quarter but the Flames showed no signs of slowing down.
