Wheatbelt town of Bruce Rock devastated as store burns down overnight
The eastern Wheatbelt town of Bruce Rock has been left devastated overnight after their only general store burn down.
The Johnson Street supermarket engulfed in flames about 9am on Wednesday, with a nearby store also damaged.
Five appliances attended the blaze, roughly 245kms east of Perth, which was estimated to have caused about $500,000 worth of damage.
Arson squad detectives are investigating the fire.
It’s understood the store had been working hard throughout the coronavirus crisis to ensure the town had enough supplies.
More to come.
