A store in the remote Murchison town of Mount Magnet is the latest lucky spot in WA’s lotto streak, selling a division one-winning ticket worth $1.3 million from Saturday’s draw. The latest big win means one lotto player in WA had an extra special Easter. The store, Mount Magnet Post and Lotteries on Hepburn Street, posted the life-changing news for one of its customers on social media over the weekend. There were four division one winners from across Australia on Saturday, with each winning $1,355,719.73. This makes the sixth division one winning ticket sold in WA in the last two weeks. A Lotterywest spokesperson said due to the Easter long weekend, Lotterywest was unable to contact the store to verify the ticket, but understood the Mount Magnet newsagency was one of four stores which sold the winning tickets for Saturday. “Two were sold in Victoria and one sold in South Australia,” she said. “There were quite a few division two winners from WA on Saturday. Each $10,000 dollars each.” The spokesperson said they were waiting to contact the Mount Magnet store on Tuesday and would then release more details. The division one validation period ends 14 days after the draw. The winner has not returned to the store or come forward at this stage.
