Mid West Ports Authority open applications for three year benefits with Not-For-Profit Partnership Program

The Mid West Ports Authority’s three year not-for-profit partnership program has opened for applications, with the successful organisation receiving benefits each year over three years. The first NFP partner was awarded to the Geraldton Surf Lifesaving Club after showing value alignment with the Port and clearly stating their club’s priorities and vision for the partnership. The MWPA NFP program is designed to establish three-year partnerships with an organisation whose values align with the Port’s organisational values. MWPA CEO Damian Tully said the program provided a cash component and in-kind contribution every year for three years, providing opportunities for capacity building and organisational support in the partnership. Geraldton SLSC President Sally Mckenzie said at the time, the club didn’t realise how beneficial it would be to become a NFP Partnership Program recipient. “Running a club can be a huge undertaking and keeping it relevant to your membership in the fast pace of life is challenging. Having people to call on to help you along the way has been amazing,” she said. “MWPA is giving back to the community in a very tangible way. I look forward to following the progress of other recipients.”
