One of Kalbarri National Park’s public dunnies has been revealed as one of the best public toilets in Australia after it was recognised in the annual Great Dunny Hunt. The National Public Toilet Map has given the public toilet, south of Nature’s Window, an honourable mention for Australia’s public toilet in the quirkiest spot. The toilet is one of two located inside Kalbarri National Park, known as Loop 1, situated by the 9km Loop Walk taking you past the iconic Nature’s Window and along the Murchison River. People were asked to take photos of their favourite dunny and upload them to the map, with this year’s hunt attracting 778 entries, with 1935 photos and 150 new facilities. It was the only WA toilet to win a category. The awards are organised by the Continence Foundation of Australia, a not-for-profit organisation and the national peak body promoting bladder and bowel control health, incontinence prevention, management, education, awareness, information and advocacy.
