Drugs, weapons seized at Kalbarri

Police have seized weapons and drug paraphernalia after stopping a car at Kalbarri.

The car was stopped in the Kalbarri Beach Resort carpark, off Clothworthy Street.

Police tweeted about the incident yesterday, but details on when it happened were unavailable today.

A 29-year-old Kalbarri man was charged with possession of a controlled weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia in relation to items allegedly found in the vehicle.

A 25-year-old male learner driver from Kalbarri was also charged for having an alcohol reading exceeding 0.02 and having no authority to drive due to fines.

The men will appear in court at a later date.
