Coolijarloo fatal crash: Two dead, 12-year-old girl injured after collision with a road train on Brand Highway

Two people have died and a 12-year-old girl is injured after two cars and a road train towing two trailers collided on Brand Highway in Coolijarloo. Police say just before 9am on Friday, a Toyota Prado, a road train towing two trailers and a Suzuki hatchback collided on Brand Highway about 10km north of Cataby. Two people died and a 12-year-old girl was treated for minor injuries by St John WA. Five ambulances and two RAC Rescue helicopters were deployed to the scene, however, the helicopters were later stood down. It is the second fatal road collision on Brand Highway in two days, after a Toyota HiAce van and a cyclist collided in South Greenough on Thursday morning. Police are working to identify the deceased persons. Brand Highway between Cataby Road and Koonah Road is closed. Major crash investigators are probing the cause of the crash and ask motorists to avoid the area.
