Exmouth and Tom Price are among several regional communities set to benefit from the latest round of the State Government’s regional traineeship program grants.

Grants of up to $37,000 per trainee have been provided to more than 40 Community Resource Centres and eligible local government authorities to support vocational training and subsidise the cost of employing a trainee.

Tom Price Community Resource Centre will put the funding towards community services training while the Shire of Exmouth will provide tourism training.

Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan said the program would provide tailored support to address the needs of individual communities while supporting local people to develop their skills in the region.
