Mixed pairs compete in mixed foursome event at Karratha Golf Club

A mixed foursomes event was held at the Karratha Golf Club over the weekend, with mixed pairs competing over two days and 36 holes in a game of stroke.

Women chose their partners for the weekend, with handicaps combined and divided by two for their team.

With some mixed pairs of A-graders, there were a few main contenders for the gross win, with mother and son Lorrie and Tyson Bertrend leading by one stroke after day one.

On day two they went three shots better, finishing with a gross total score of 165 off the stick, two shots better than runners-up Bodie and Chelsea Broun.

The nett win went to Peter Newbold and Marie Nottle, who played one better than their handicaps, coming in with a nett 143.

Nett runners-up were father and daughter Ken and Blaine Willcocks with 145.
