Teenage motorcyclist dies after Shelley Jeep collision

A 17-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with a Jeep in Shelley last night.

The crash happened about 5.25pm, when the black Jeep Compass and a blue Yamaha motorcycle collided at the intersection of Cordell Street and Modillion Avenue.

The teenage boy on the motorcycle suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance but later died.

The 40-year-old female driver of the Jeep was uninjured.

Major Crash Investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash or the Jeep Compass or Yamaha motorcycle travelling in the area prior to the crash, or has dash-cam vision of either, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
