A crash in Perth’s southern suburbs closed roads on Friday evening, with one man taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The crash occured on Thomas Road eastbound in Orelia and was reported by Main Roads at 7.32pm.
It is believed two cars collided, and the right lanes of Thomas Road in both directions were closed from McLaughland Road to Colchester Avenue.
Emergency services including police and seven ambulance crews were called to the scene.
A man from one car, believed to be in his 60s, has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.
It is believed there were five people in the other car, with at least one minor injury reported.
Thomas Road has since been reopened in both directions as the crash has been cleared.
Further north, a police incident has closed Reid Highway westbound between Mirrabooka Avenue and Wanneroo Road.
Main Roads has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution if travelling in the area.
Earlier, a crash on Mitchell Freeway southbound closed two lanes on the major Perth road, causing major traffic headaches for commuters ready to start their weekend.
The crash, located before Reid Highway in Warwick, was reported by Main Roads at 5.54pm.
The two left lanes were blocked by the incident, reducing the Freeway to a single lane, and there was debris across multiple lanes.

Main Roads had previously requested drivers to avoid the incident site, but the crash has since been cleared.
