A horror scene unfolded on Thursday morning when a 4WD crashed and rolled on Mitchell Freeway, injuring the driver.
A man in his 20s suffered head injuries after his Ford Ranger rolled near Neerabup Road in Clarkson around 5am, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
St John Ambulance rushed the man to Royal Perth Hospital, where he arrived around 6am.
Images of the scene showed a mangled car and a tow truck working to clear the road ahead of peak hour traffic.
No other cars were involved and no one else was injured.
