The Pilbara Krocs took third place in their division at the women’s hockey country week championships last weekend at Curtin University’s Perth Hockey Stadium.

Players from Port Hedland, Newman and Karratha joined forces in representing the Pilbara Krocs, and made the journey down to Perth.

The highlight of the tournament’s third division match-ups was the Krocs’ 5-0 thrashing of Warren on Saturday.

It was an even spread in front of goal as Chanae Naisbitt, Ellie Nasibitt, Zoe Nicol, Vicki Hoskin and Port Hedland club president Fleur Trewick all found the back of the net.

The Krocs had a chance for a spot in the grand final but lost 1-4 to eventual champions Collie.
