A large-scale land search is continuing for a 72-year-old man who disappeared while prospecting near Mt Magnet at the weekend.

Brian Brady was last seen about 3pm on Saturday before it is understood he went for a walk while prospecting near Lake Austin, north of Mt Magnet.

Mr Brady has not been seen or heard from since.

A land search is underway for Mr Brady about 35km south of Cue, halfway between Cue and Mt Magnet, in the area of Lake Austin.

Multiple resources have been deployed to help find the missing man, including drones, the mounted section, SES and tactical response group trackers.
