Police have arrested and charged two 14-year-old girls after they allegedly approached a pizza delivery girl, hassled her for money before stealing a mobile phone with force. About 6.15pm on Monday, police say a 17-year-old girl completed a pizza delivery at an address on Assen Street in Karloo when two 14-year-old girls approached the vehicle. Geraldton police allege the delivery driver was entering her car when the two accused girls stopped her and demanded money. Acting officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Adrian Geary said when she refused, the two accused girls allegedly threatened her with violence. “The victim exited the vehicle and two 14-year-old girls pretended to attack her before stealing her mobile phone,” he said. Sen. Sgt Geary said the 17-year-old was allegedly pushed and shoved, and was unknown to the accused offenders. Later that night about 9.20pm, police arrested the two 14-year-olds at an address in Rangeway. They were taken to the police station, interviewed and charged with aggravated robbery and released on bail due to face court at a later date. The stolen property was recovered.
