The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has declared a total fire ban for Carnarvon, Exmouth and Shark Bay today.

A DFES spokeswoman said the bans were put in place due to weather conditions.

All three areas are expecting top temperatures of 30 degrees or higher, with sunny and windy conditions.

DFES is urging people to make plans and preparations this bushfire season.

To help, they’ve created an online tool called Fire Chat, which can be accessed at https://www.dfes.wa.gov.au/firechat/Pages/default.htm.
