Three Springs Primary School students are calling on the council to add recycling bins, citing its importance to the environment.

The heartwarming gesture comes from the Year 3 to 6 students who have been discussing the need for the town to add a recycling bin to the residents’ homes in Three Springs.

They have been busy writing letter to the Shire CEO and councillors with the help of teacher Michelle Armstrong.

The students have written some convincing letters and will be posting their best efforts to the Shire CEO Keith Woodward.

“I strongly believe we should have recycling bins at every house because it’s important for the environment,” one student said.

While another wrote: “As you can see, Three Springs need recycling bins because we want to save the planet.”
