There were some familiar names on the Geraldton Board Riders podium at the recent season wind-up, with the surfing Hagan family winning three of the six awards on offer plus a runner-up in a fourth category.

Jake Hagan, 15, won both the cadets and juniors divisions while his dad, Deon, won in the over-35s.

Older sister Shekya, 16, came second in the open women’s behind Sophie Butcher, 17.

Mac Carter won the open men’s on a countback against Danny Williams.

Rod McVee took out the over-50s.
