Racing WA opens grant funding for community groups across the Mid West/Gascoyne

Mid West and Gascoyne community groups can apply for grants of up to $5000 as part of Racing WA’s Community Fund. The fund aims to support animal, community-related, or sustainability projects, with Mid West and Gascoyne race clubs set to partner. The first round of grants are for groups within the Mid West, Gascoyne, Kimberley, Pilbara, or Wheatbelt towns that are connected to a race club. Racing and wagering WA chief executive Ian Edwards said the organisation hoped to support more groups throughout the community. “Since launching the fund nine months ago, we have joined forces with the Blue Tree Project and Solaris Cancer Care – two powerful allies in combatting challenges relating to mental health and accessing cancer care in regional and remote communities,” he said. “The upcoming grant rounds will allow us to contribute to even more meaningful programs that make a real difference. “In this grant round, we are looking for projects that make significant positive contributions to their community, whether it’s enhancing wellbeing, supporting animal welfare or promoting sustainability.” Groups looking to apply for grant funding are encouraged to visit Racing WA’s grant application website for more information.
