Prescribed burns led to smoke haze over Geraldton

A smoke haze that blanketed Geraldton on Saturday morning came from prescribed burns.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the smoke from prescribed burns in the Lancelin area had been carried by prevailing winds to Geraldton and surrounding areas.
