Ian Cutler has been named Worshipful Master of Freemasons lodge Geraldton No.3.

The installation was attended by members from several Mid West lodges, including Mullewa Day Lodge, Champion Bay Lodge, Dongara Lodge, Hampton Lodge, Morawa Lodge and Zenith Lodge.

Mr Cutler was a former journalist and editor of Masonic magazine in Tasmania. He has also been a grand officer, a position that requires ceremonial training.

Freemasons are an ancient brotherhood who explore moral education.

The installation took place on November 10.
